Well, I've settled on a new format and I think the site looks good. Hopefully I'll be writing here regularly from now on, and not just on wonderfully trivial things such as fire drills. More to come.
The above image is that of Nataraja, depicting the Hindu god Shiva, in a cosmic dance. This dance, called Tandava, is the source of the cycle of creation and destruction of the Universe. When Shiva's foot rises off the ground the universe is created, so long as his foot remains in the air, the universe persists, but when Shiva's dance continues and his foot strikes the ground, time and space come to an end--only to begin again.
